Breabach

Following last year's successful show, Breabach return to the AMC with music from their forthcoming album. Nominated in the Scots Trad Music Awards for 'Best Folk Band' in 2007 and 2008, Breabach's huge sound is dominated by the twin bagpipes of Calum MacCrimmon and Donal Brown. This uncompromising force is complemented by the extraordinary fiddling of Patsy Reid and the charismatic, propulsive guitar of Ewan Robertson, BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2008.
Breabach always impress audiences with their collective charm and talents. Ewan and Patsy share vocals whilst multi-instrumentalists Calum and Donal alternate between pipes, flute, whistle, bouzouki and step-dance. One by one, these musical gems are unleashed like musical artillery to breathtaking effect.
